(Used) Thermo Invitrogen Neon Transfection System model MPK5000 (2021) enables fast and efficient delivery of nucleic acids into all mammalian cell types, including primary, stem, and difficult-to-transfect cells. It is a flexible and open system that allows high-quality transfections using optimized or user-defined protocols in three simple steps with as few as 2x10^4cells per reaction. The system is efficient (up to 90% in many cell types), flexible (easily transfect from 2x10^4cells to 6x10^6cells per reaction), simple (easy to use with a single reagent kit for all cell types), and versatile (allows electroporation parameters to be optimized freely). The Neon system uses a patented, biologically compatible pipette tip chamber that generates a more uniform electric field, resulting in very high cell survival compared to conventional electroporation. It has a wide range of applications, including transfection of stem cells, hard-to-transfect cells, and delivery of plasmid DNA and synthetic siRNA.
